Megan Hiser

ATTORNEY

Megan Hiser was raised in Anchorage, Alaska and graduated early from East High School at the age of 16. Megan attended the University of Alaska, Anchorage, where she was an active member of the Seawolf Debate Team and graduated with honors.  

Megan later went on to work in Washington, D.C., on Capitol Hill and for a government relations firm owned by Former FEMA Director, James Lee Witt. It was through these connections that Megan earned a full-tuition scholarship to Bowen Law School in Little Rock, Arkansas, where she graduated with honors in 2017.

Megan immediately returned home after graduating law school to take the Alaska Bar. Megan began her legal career working as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Judge Moran in Kenai, Alaska. She then went on to work in criminal law as an Assistant District Attorney and then Assistant Attorney General for the Office of Special Prosecutions. Megan also worked at the Office of Victims’ Rights as a special advocate.

Most recently, Megan worked as a Guardian ad Litem with the Office of Public Advocacy where she became well-versed in child custody matters. As a GAL, Megan traveled all over the state of Alaska to perform home visits and advocate for the best interests of children. It was through this position that Megan garnered significant experience in child custody and domestic violence matters and developed a firm understanding of family law.

Megan is passionate about her client’s goals and carries a strong presence in the courtroom. Megan has a positive reputation among members of the legal community and an outstanding record with the bar association. Megan is vested in achieving her client’s goals and working to achieve a quick resolution without sacrificing quality or vigor.  

Megan is a proud mother of two little girls and in her free time enjoys biking, fishing, and being at the cabin with her family.
